Pint-sized Picasso's

Today Roman and I went to my parent's house to make over the bedroom that we stayed in for 3 long months. You see, it was actually my sister Marla's room. She was so kind that she moved out of her bedroom because it was bigger into the guest bedroom for what she thought was going to be a few weeks. Now that we finally vacated she decided it was a good time for a makeover that she has been wanting for a very long time. First we had to pull down the beautiful vinyl wallpaper. (We did this last Friday)

Next Marla got to fill holds, sand, prime, and mark the chair rail lines.

Then it was time for paint. Here is where our pint-size Picasso's chipped in. They were so helpful painting today.



Roman would go along behind Becky as she was cutting the edges and rub his stir stick in the paint and wipe the paint off the walls. Just in one place. She had to repaint that same spot at least 3 times.

Then Marla started a paint fight. Gabby was good at sneaking. She would sneak up behind Marla and Kaylee and get paint on their butts before they even know she was there! Sneaky girl!

Kaylee was trying to defend herself with the tiny roller. She would just roll her tiny roller against Marla's big roller trying to keep it away. It was pretty funny actually!


She still needs to paint her ceiling and the closet (unless she did that tonight after I left) and the painting is all done!

All that is left that that is put up chair rail, vinyl wall decals that are flowers and butterflies and lastly, new carpet. Should be a whole different room when she moves back in! See good things come to girls who let their sister and her family live in her room for months!
