Back to your regularly scheduled craziness

Roman is doing MUCH better. He favored his arm for about 2 days and he will still say "Ouchies" then he will lean over, kiss his own arm better and say "All better."It's still pretty bruised but otherwise seems to be fine.

Thursday he helped me get things caught up around the house. We had loads and loads of laundry.

After we were semi-caught up on laundry we had to run out the door to another pre-school program for my niece Savannah. She was quite the performer, no stage fright at all, and had some amazing hip action on some of the songs. Hopefully my sisters got a better picture of the kids together because this is the only picture I got of Gabby, Roman, Savannah and Kaylee together and none of them are looking at the camera.


Friday we went downtown to play in the fountains at gateway again with Becky, Gabby, Kaylee and our friend Nicola and her kids Noelle, Adam, and Maren. At first Roman wanted nothing to do with the water. I had to get in and play with him, but in the end he had a good time. Although anytime the mist turned on (it was starting in the first picture) he would get so scared. I am not sure why, all the other kids would run into the fountains to stand in the mist as Roman ran out because he was afraid of it.


After playing outside all day Roman was starving. He couldn't get the noodles into his mouth fast enough.

Saturday we spent the morning working on our yard. Thanks to Terry (Spencer's step-dad) and Dave (My brother-in-law) we got SO much done. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of our yard work, but we were able to get 2 trees taken out, all the ivy to the dump, about 20 feet of ground cover taken out, 2 holes the previous owners dog had dug filled, the vegetable garden tilled and planted, the yard mowed and edged, it was a very busy morning.

We took the afternoon off to go to Chuck-e-Cheese with my sisters Janeene and Becky and their kids. Roman loves playing with his cousins. They are so patient with him!

Roman mostly wanted to just drive. He rode every ride that you could drive.

This first truck scared him because it would tip pretty far to the front back and sides and he wasn't really sure what he thought of that.

The smartcar was much more his style. It just lightly rolled like a road would.

And he found another car to drive.

You can tell Jaren is the oldest, because he is SO helpful. Roman really wanted to go up the play area. Savannah had already had a meltdown in the play area because she couldn't figure out how to get down, and it was pretty high up. So we asked Jaren if he would help Roman go up. He took him by the hand and led him to the play area, then when he was having a hard time climbing because it was just a little too high for him, he would hoist him up, and when they got to the top of the slide Jaren got Roman on and down they came.

Last, they had a photo booth that would draw your picture, for just one token (so only .10, sweet!). Savannah wanted to do one with Roman. They weren't really sure where to look. Here is the picture of Roman and Savannah. The other kids had these done too and they all turned out so cute!


So happy to be back to our usual craziness!
