Roasted Marshmallows and Starbursts

My sisters invited us to roast marshmallows and starbursts on Labor day. If you haven't heard of roasted starbursts, you aren't the only person that hasn't. They thought I was crazy that I'd never tried them (I think most NORMAL people haven't, but they aren't normal). So we had a fun little marshmallow/starburst roast in the late afternoon/early evening so we could still get home and get kids to bed on time for school the next day. I didn't get any pictures of them roasting the starbursts. It mostly just makes them soft and gooey, more like a taffy.

Roman was being cautious because he didn't want to get burned on the fire. He made sure to stay clear back and had daddy help him roast his marshmallow. I don't think he had every had a roasted marshmallow before, and he loved it!
