Hiking in December

Spencer was planning to take his dad and step-mom snowshoeing while they were here in December. The weather was so funny, and while it was cold there wasn't any new snow, so it wasn't really good for snowshoeing. We didn't even know if there would really be any snow up the canyon but we decided that we would go hiking since we couldn't go snowshoeing. The further up the canyon we went, the more snow there was. It wasn't soft snow, definitely not good for snowshoeing, but it was fun to hike. It wasn't too cold, and it was so beautiful.

Spencer carried Roman in the hiking backpack and I had Hudson in the front carrier. He slept the entire time. Only woke up the last 10 minutes or so and was looking around at everything.

Grandpa took a turn carrying Roman too. We found this snowman that someone had built, Grandma put her scarf on it for a few pictures. When we passed him on the way back down she found a piece of snow that she put on as a hat.

The snow by the parking lot was so deep, Spencer put Roman down in it.

Making snow angels with dad.
