November 12 we decided it was time for some leave play. The back deck was covered, the lawn was covered, even the slide was covered. While Spencer mowed up the leaves in the front yard, Roman and I worked on raking the leaves in the back yard. We made 3 giant piles. One in the middle of the yard, one at the bottom of the slide, and one over by the garden. Roman was so excited he was having a hard time waiting to jump in.
Finally we were ready. Roman tried to jump in, but it was so high, he just kind of walked into it. So, Spencer picked him up and threw him into the first pile of leaves.

He went so far into the pile that we couldn't even see him. Seriously. At all. See the indentation where he went in?

So I walked over to the pile and you could just see a hand sticking out.

Then out popped a head. With a big smile. "Dad can we do that again?"

Next was the slide pile. We had leaves piled up at the bottom of the slide to slide down into. Roman went down first, sitting up. When he got to the bottom the leaves just sort of stopped him.

Next was my turn. I went down on my stomach, I went right into the pile of leaves.

We finally convinced Roman to go down on his stomach, and he went right into the pile of leaves.

On to the third pile of leaves with 2 smiley silly boys. We wanted to get a few pictures of Hudson in the leaves. As soon as we put Hudson down, and Roman saw that there was a camera involved he wanted in on the pictures too.
