Snowshoeing

Today we took Roman snowshoeing for the first time. We always go snowshoeing up Millcreek canyon. As we got up to the top there were NO parking spots available so we decided to go up Porter Fork today. There were a few parking spots right by the gate so we decided to park there. BAD IDEA! We couldn't even get into the parking spot and we got stuck! The snow was so slushy that we were high centered. Finally we got the car out and parked across the way. We realized as soon as we got out of the car that we forgot to bring Roman's hat so he got to wear mine. As we were getting Roman bundled and loaded up he was not thrilled with the idea, it was cold, he didn't want to be in the front carrier, and he didn't get a very good nap but as soon as we started moving he was so happy. He was talking and couldn't get enough of it. We didn't go as far or as fast as we normally would but it was fun. It started lightly snowing as we started back down, it was so beautiful.
