California - Part 1

The past week we spent in California with Spencer's family. It was a crazy week! I think I will probably do 3 posts to cover it all.

I was going to give a long drawn out explanation of our trip but here it is in a nutshell, if you want details let me know. Okay Delayed flight; fever; sister-in-laws beautiful house; birthday party; higher fever; ear infection; eye infection; allergies; BBQ's; Hiking; Beach; Seafood on the Wharf; Family Reunion - Auction, Hide and seek in the dark; 6:00 am flight; almost missed 6:00 am flight; home; big birthday party; HOME!

The first 4 days we were in California I didn't take a single picture, I asked Spencer's family to e-mail me some. There was a lot going on, I just didn't get any pictures. So glad that others did!

One of Spencer's favorite things to do in California is a hike called Steep Ravine. It's just like it sounds a 3.8 mile hike down a steep ravine that's all lush and rain-foresty. The hike ends at Stinson Beach. We were interested to see how Roman would do at the beach. He hadn't been since he was 4 months old and he loved the sand. He didn't get into the water at all, it was just too cold. He had fun watching the waves though.
