18 Months Old

Roman had his 18 month doctors appointment yesterday. He was so good! He was a happy and easy going, talking to the pediatrician. She was very impressed with his vocabulary and said he is about 6-9 months ahead of average for speech and developmental milestones (climbing, jumping, running, etc). He is still on the small side, not surprising. He weighs 22 lbs 9 oz is 30 3/4" tall and his head circumference is 46 cm putting him in the 8% for weight and head circumference and 7% for height.

After doing all the stats she checked to see how he was doing and that's when we got the bad news. He has a double ear infection! We had NO idea! He was running all over, no fever, no tugging on ears, so from now on whenever he gets a cold or has a runny nose (even if we think it's teething) she wants to check his ears because we don't want them to get this bad again. She agreed He just isn't acting like a kid with a double ear infection.

  3. Such a handsome boy! When Brian was little he got ear infections at the drop of a hat. Usually I couldn't tell until his ear started draining. Yuck. He finally outgrew them when he was about 3 or 4.
