The wedding

The last few months have been a whirl wind. Back in February Katie came to visit for Valentines day (well, not really for Valentine's day, it just happened to fall the same weekend) and we met Scott for the first time. He has come a few times since then and Roman absolutely adores him now too!

We have loved that we have been able to see Katie more the past few months as she has been planning her wedding. Roman is Katie's biggest fan. He absolutely adores her. All she has to do is leave the room and come back and she is greeted with huge hugs and kisses by her adoring fan.

Well, the big day finally arrived! We got Katie ready and off to the ceremony they we had to get ready. We decided to take Roman in his play clothes and change him into his suit there to keep it clean. It was only a 15 or so minute drive from our house there but about 10 minutes into our drive we realized Roman was asleep! What were we going to do now? If we were to wake him, he may be grumpy the rest of the day, if we didn't...we would be late. Well, Spencer was able to get him out of the car asleep and let him sleep in his arms until it was absolutely necessary to get him changed and ready to go. He took him into the bathroom and got him onto the changing table before he even woke up. He woke up with a start and asked "Where are we?" Spencer got him dressed and ready and he was a little dazed, but pleasant!

Roman was the ring bearer. I was so nervous that he was going to be wild, or loud, or silly. He was so serious and sweet. He was perfect. He seriously stole the show! The room was completely quiet. The back doors opened and the cutest little redhead quietly weaved to the front of the room, carrying the pillow with 2 rings tied on.

Next came the bride.

She was beautiful. She looked amazing, and so happy. She graced her way to the front and everyone was seated. The ceremony was short, and sweet. It made me think of the day that we were sealed to Roman and Katie was there with us. There was the same peace that we felt that day. Peace, joy, and happiness.

I am so glad that we were able to share in her special day. Roman made sure to kiss the bride!
We love Katie forever, and love Scott for loving Katie.
