California trip - Visit with Jen and Kanaka

Saturday morning we left Fairfield after spending just a day there (we usually spend the majority of our trips to California in Fairfield with family there) to head south to Spencer's sister Andrea's house. On our way to Andrea's house we stopped for brunch at my friend Jennifer's (and her husband Dann and son Mason) and our other friend Kanaka (and her son Arjun) came too. Jen made a delicious quiche, muffins, fruit and Kanaka made an Indian dish that was a nice contrast to the sweet. I can't even remember what it was called. We sat out on the patio and visited.
It was so funny before the kids started eating I said "Roman is going to eat the muffin and fruit and say he's done. Sure enough, he did. Jen predicted that Mason would do the same. I think Mason did take a few bites of quiche but he was done. Kanaka said that Arjun would pick the blueberries out of the muffins and ask "Why did you give me vegetables, I don't like vegetables." It was so funny, he said almost EXACTLY what she had said that he would.
Roman was being such a little pill. All three boys were sitting at the little table smiling and Jen went to take their picture and Roman turned her back on them and would NOT let her take his picture.

So she went around to the other side of the table and got his picture anyway! The first picture is so cute of Arjun and Mason though, they are all happy, then there is my grumpy boy.

It was so much fun to visit with these friends. Our boys are all three and all such boys. They love trucks and dirt, Jen has chickens that Roman and Hudson fed. They all had fun playing in the sandbox. Mason and Arjun were splashing up a storm in the water table (Roman was getting after them because you aren't supposed to splash the water table...you can tell what we are ALWAYS telling him.) Jen's back yard is amazing. I have dreams that we have her back yard now. It was so great. The only thing that would have made it better was if we had more time to visit, but with such a short trip, and cramming as much in as we were, we had to get on the road to surprise someone else.
