All horse parade

Saturday there was an All horse parade at the Sandy Civic Center. We didn't make it to the parade on the 4th of July and thought this one would be less crowded then the 4th of July parade, and it sounded like fun. We got there at 9:00 (because the parade started at 10:00 and we wanted to get a good spot.) As we pulled up Spencer asked me if I was sure that it was the right date/time because there weren't very many cars there. Then we saw a few groups that were there before us. Maybe 20-30 people total. We called my sister Marla while we were on our way there and convinced her to come join us (and she brought Kaylee, Gabby and Tiffany with her).

Here they are waiting for the parade to start (don't they all look excited, especially Marla digging in her purse)

In all there were 500 horses in the parade.

There were REALLY big horses

And REALLY small horses.

In the end we had a great time! It wasn't too crowded (we sat right by the parking lot) and the kids had a great time seeing all the different horses, wagons, buggies and carriages!
