When the parents are away...the Roman will play

Last week while we were at the hospital, Roman went on all sorts of adventures.

Monday he went with my mom, sister Becky, cousins Kaylee and Gabby and our friend Nicola and her 3 kids to the Kennecott Copper Mine. Last week they were offering free tours. I knew that Roman would LOVE going because it's all about big trucks, dirt, digging. Everything he loves!

They were able to look down into the mine and watch the huge trucks haul their loads. Check out the size of the tire from one of the dump trucks!!Then they went to the visitor's center and Roman loved all the little trucks. Lastly they went and watched a movie about the copper mine. About half-way through the movie Roman turned around and said "This is the best movie ever!" He got so into the movie he fell off his chair.
On Tuesday he went with the same crew to the Days of '47 Float Preview to see all the parade floats for Saturday's parade.
Gabby putting her head in a dragons mouth. When Roman got tired of walking, he convinced Paul to carry him on his shoulders. After they were done at the float preview Roman came to the hospital with my mom and got there about the same time as Spencer's mom. Grandma Signe (Spencer's mom) got Roman a Big Brother hat and "I'm a big brother" shirt.

Roman wasn't sure what to think of Hudson at first. He had been waiting so long for him to come out of my tummy, but I don't think he really knew what to expect.

On Wednesday Roman came up to see us in the hospital and he decided that the hospital bed looked pretty comfortable (and that the hospital food looked pretty tasty.) He took over my bed and my lunch and was ready to take over the entire room.

Thursday Roman had to say goodbye to his cousins Ella and Quentin. They were here for just a few days and he was so sad to see them leave.

It's no wonder Roman was so tired when we got home. He was BUSY last week!
